Neil Van Stavern, DVM, Practice Owner

Dr. Neil Van Stavern has been practicing veterinary medicine in College Station for 36 years.  After years of instructing at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, he opened his private practice in 1982.  He is the only private practice veterinarian in Bryan/College Station who is board certified in Internal Medicine.  Dr. Van Stavern has a special interest in canine preventative medicine, internal medicine, and endoscopy.  Dr. Van Stavern is currently available for appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Dr. Laura Bay-Williams, DVM

Dr. Laura Bay-Williams graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1999. She has been practicing at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital since 2001.  Dr. Bay has a special interest in surgery, feline and canine preventative medicine, dentistry and ultrasound.

Dr. Staci Dennis, DVM

Dr. Staci Dennis, a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated first in her class  in May of 2007. She has been practicing at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital since graduating. Dr. Dennis has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine and feline and canine preventative medicine.

Dr. Katie Kling, DVM

Dr. Kling joins us from Cincinnati, OH, where she began her veterinary career after completing her undergraduate work at Xavier University.  Dr. Kling received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in September of 2008.  Dr. Kling's fourth year clinical rotation was at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA.  Since that time, Dr. Kling has been an associate veterinarian at a small animal practice in Cincinnati, OH.  She has developed special interest in endoscopy, dentistry and surgery.  Dr. Kling has recently relocated to College Station, and we are happy she has chosen to continue her professional career with us. 


Lori, Management

Lori has been our devoted practice manager since 1999. When Lori is away from the office you will find her spending time with her family or playing soccer with friends. She has two spoiled rotten dogs; Duo a husky mix and Maggie an Australian shepherd. As well as three domestic shorthairs named Smudge, Foster, and Raven.

Lisa Hunziker, Office Assistant


Diorella, Head Technician

Diorella graduated from A&M in 2001 with a degree in Animal Science.  Diorella previously worked at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital in 2000 and started working with us again in October of 2006.  She enjoys spending time with her family and pets.  Diorella has a boxer named Harper, a german shepherd named Hugo and two cats named Sissy and O’Malley.

Shelby, Head Technician

Shelby graduated in May 2012 from Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Science . Shelby started working at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital in August 2011. She enjoys relaxing and playing video games around her house, playing sports, and spending time with her orange tabby, Petri and miniature dachshund, Luchiano.

Brian, Technician

Brian has been working with Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital since September 2011. Brian enjoys the outdoors! On his days off you will find him rock climbing, hiking or camping. Brian also loves to travel and is always looking for new learning opportunities and hobbies. Brian has two cats; Tsugumi- a female red short hair tabby, and Grendel- a male brown and white tabby.

Chloee, Technician

Chloee is studying Biomedical Sciences at Blinn College. She started working at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital in August 2012. Chloee enjoys spending time with her animals and reading a good book. She also loves going camping and fishing. She has an adorable great dane named Chad and three cats named Callie, Jinx, and Sassy.

Kelly, Technician

Kelly is studying Veterinary Technology at Blinn College. She started working at Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital in September 2012. She enjoys taking her dogs to the dog park and going to the movies. She also loves Mexican food. Kelly has a Shepherd mix named Libby Lou and a black lab mix named Shadow.
