Payment Options
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we do not bill or set up payment plans.
We accept debit cards, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. Checks should be made payable to “Van Stavern Small Animal Hospital” or “VSSAH”.

Pet Insurance
Another popular option for your family and pet is insurance coverage.
With most pet insurances, you pay your pet’s bill up front and submit a claim to the insurance company. The company will reach out to us to request records for review. After your claim is reviewed, the insurance company reimburses you for items covered by your plan. It is important to obtain your pet’s insurance plan before health concerns arise, as no pet insurance company will cover pre-existing conditions.

When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. We understand this and are able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we will call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply online yourself at: www.CareCredit.com.
